The Restless Heavens, A Fracture in the Sea of Clouds

This is Shinki, the story of how Tentei created this world.
Dissatisfied with the land as it was Before History, Tentei named five gods, and chose twelve people. He lifted them to Heaven, and turned everything else in the world into eggs.
To the twelve people, Tentei gave each a branch bearing three fruit, and also a snake wound around the branch.
When the twelve people descended from Heaven, they found that the snakes lifted the Sky from the Sea. Each person found that the fruit fell from their branch and created the lands, the kingdoms, and the throne that person would sit on as King. The branch they would keep, for it was turned into a pen, and with it the king would uphold Tentei's law.
This is a wiki for The Restless Heavens, a Twelve Kingdoms writing and art community based on an alternative version of the world.
